Origin :
born in what used to be toronto, canada on may 15th, 2589. alaska eventually moved to the united states of america where she would spent the rest of her teen years. growing up, she never had a big obstactle in life. she maintained excellent grades in school all her life from elementary to high school. she was supposed to go to university to study medicine and bio-engineering since that is what her parents wanted but instead she ended up studying computer science and criminal justice which was eventually shortened by the invasion of 2612. she managed to escape but no one she knew ended up alive, including her parents. she ended up on the human's third base, which was mars; the moon being the second. here she was recruited into the military as a specialist for their electronics and is responsible for part of their new system; (being one of the founders) which powers up the suits of their soldiers, named eva, electronic vascular advancement. after about two years, she was now on the field as a solider, since she had experience already in electronics and the powers and usefulness of the eva system, she was ranked up quickly, eventually taking the commander title and quickly started to train troops herself to get them ready to fight against the flood whom invaded earth.
Suit :
the n7 armour is only given to those who are determined and experienced elite soldiers. it's almost double the protection and mobility than the n6 armour which is currently the default armour for every other troop that does not have an elite ranking.
Eva :
The electronic vascular system works with the body's blood to help enchanced the person's abilities, such as eyesight, sense of smell, hearing and movement. the person will be able to move faster than the advange human, think faster, withstand more damage than normal, see further, smell better, and hear even the slightest things. it also allows the deployment of certain abilities depending on the person's specialities. for example, the engineer can deposit heek-seeking or damage-dealing gernades from the eva. (eva being the glowy thing on alaska's arm.) and the enginner can drop down turrets and ammo. the medic may deploy a green field which will recharge the eva's shield and decrease the duration of the eva's recharge rate of everyone near or in the field, the list goes on.
though, this may all sound wonderful and a true advancement in military technology, this is also very dangerous and wasn't recommended by many governments but the united states of america insisted it as well did commander alaska. it has become aware that this system tends to..manipulate the blood of those it possess and enhances.. that odesn't mean it doesn't work. but if worn too long or used to long, it can become attached to the human or being and it can result in many side effects which include : nausea, depression, bi-polar disorders, insomina, abnormal heart beat, heart attack, stroke, heart failure, kidney failure and even death. the system also can react very badly if the person who attempts to use it can't handle the pressure, that is why it is recommended to use a prototype which consists of less advancements/enhancements and get to it know it better and do intensive training with it first which lowers the rate of all those side effects and problems by 75%. unfornuately, many aren't lucky and the rate of it being successfully attached and used is only about 38%. the system may also change behaviour in those who use it and social patterns.
Though, if the system is attached correctly without issues, the enhancements are remarkable and one single soldier could count for more than a dozen or two soldiers at once and last twice as longer since the eva prevents hunger and thirst for a longer period of time.
Background:
in 2300, humans found out through exploration and space travel that they weren't the only species in their galaxy. Due to unexpected contact with the other alien race which would later be found out as the race of the turians and were more robotic than anything else and extremely intelligent beings; the contact resulted in immediate open-fire and basically a short war was intiated. the war ended with treaties and alliances, the humans joining the 'council'. though, being the latest species to join the council, they weren't really respected nor did their voice count for much of anything. the one that represented the humans was/is council member vinin. though, there was one thing that was forgotten and failed to be told to the humans. there was a 'darkness' forming once again, that was said to happen every century and occur in a different galaxy each time..but this century, now being 2600+, it was their turn. the first contact with the darkness which is later named the flood, was back in 2610, when a group of soldiers were ordered to investigate some odd activity on pluto, the planet that was eventually known as neptune's lost moon. only one member made it out of live to tell the tale of the flood and how terrifying and descructive they were. this lead to an uproar from the human council and the history of the darkness was finally revealed. the species; turians, salarians, asari, krogans, and quarians were all secretly fleeing this darkness each time, but the milky way galaxy was one of the few galaxies left. and due to the disbelief and ignorance, each species ignored the fact the humans supposedly contacted with the flood since they all had a war currently happening as well and wouldn't want to provide them help. the other races were already at war with the geth and collectors so they were too busy with that, while the krogans had a civil war on their planet.
however in 2612, since the first contact was ignored, no race was prepared. earth and many planets in the other galaxies where many of the other species live were attacked by this flood. earth was the planet being destroyed the fastest and wouldn't last much longer. large cities were being sucked out of life in just a few hours. no matter how many resources and troops the humans sent to back up the earth, it was a fail attempt to save the humans. now the remainer have retreated to the moon while the army tries to deal with the flood and try to convince the council to team-up and help them first so that the humans can help them as well. basically to stop the darkness here before it reaches there.

Personality:
alaska is more serious than anything considering she's commanding part of the united nation's army. she is the type that it is always discipline first before anything else. training and education comes before playing and /fun/. the war is her priority and making sure her soldiers and squads are prepared and do well in battle is also a priority and she'll spend as much time as needed to make sure of that. she doesn't take kindly to people who disobey or disrespect her in anyway, what she says goes and she expects it to be done right away.
Specialty:
commander alaska is a mix between a medic and an engineer, as she has mastered both without being injured. she can deploy gernades, turrets, medical fields, and etc when needed. she also specialises in close quarter combat and mid-long range fire fights.
